Biogen Methodology study ("Methodology Study of Novel Electrophysiological, Physical, and Imaging Outcome Measures to Assess the Progression of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ")
This study aims to determine the best way to measure the decline in patients with ALS. Most studies are currently using as end point their survival or the decline on a scale which scores the functioning of the patients (ALS-FRS-R). Both parameters, however, have important limitations. This study tries to validate new valuable parameters of disease progression for use in clinical trials.
